Are you leaving employment?

Did you know you can retain your super and enjoy the benefits of remaining in the APSS even after you leave employment? Simply let us know within 60 days of the APSS writing to you, by reading the PDS A Guide to your Member Savings at a glance and then completing and returning the required forms. Call SuperPhone on 1300 360 373 to have a copy of the PDS mailed to you.

The APSS is an exclusive super scheme for eligible Australia Post employees, employees of some Associated Employers and their spouses.

Although from 1 July 2012, Australia Post and some Associated Employers will no longer offer APSS membership to their new employees, existing APSS Members continue to enjoy the benefits of membership including:

  • for employee Members, secure, no fee or cost defined benefit super that can never go down
  • No administration fees
  • The option of boosting your super by making additional contributions into an APSS Member Savings Account, with flexible investment choices.

Are you considering moving to another super scheme?

If you choose to exercise 'choice of fund' and 'opt out' of the APSS defined benefit super arrangements after 1 July 2012, you generally won't be able to opt back into the APSS defined benefits. Also, if you've already opted out, you can't opt back in. So make your choice carefully, and consider getting some advice from a licensed financial adviser.
